NY LLC's require a pointless, and expensive, news publication. Do I have to republish when changing address?

To form an LLC in NY, you need to do several things, but the most frustrating one is publish a notice of the LLC in 2 different newspapers for 6 weeks. Those newspapers being chosen by the county clerk. its different per-county, so upstate it might be $300-500, while in Manhattan (where I live) it would probably be closer to $1500. However, I have family upstate, so if I just make that the address of the LLC and publish up there, can I then change the LLC address and save $1k?
