Do we only care about ual preference when it’s an election “year (s)”?

It's scores huge political points. Many say the gay marriage ballot initiative in Ohio is what actually ended up winning it for Bush in the end. It brought out the Christian conservatives and that gave him a relatively narrow victory in Ohio and that did it.
