Going off amitriptyline bec. of pregnancy?

i just found out i['m pregnant and i've been on amitriptyline for the past month for some pain. i started at 10mg and increased every ten days by another 10 mg. so currently i'm on 70mg and i was told to quit cold turkey. has anyone did this and what should i expect.?
