Sangakara given out LBW wrongly; ball pitched outside legstump; is it going to prove too costly for Sri Lanka?

I am amazed how these days umpires do not hesitate in giving a batsman out LBW even as the cardinal principle is to give benefit of doubt to the batsman. In any case, errors in umpiring decisions are becoming too common and beginning to interfere with a fair result in the game.
