What is our relationship now and how do I refer to him?

My very best friend of a year recently confessed that he loved me 3 weeks ago and I felt the same way so we started a serious long term relationship. Well, yesterday his grandparents found out that we were dating and they made him break up with me because I'm only 14 and he's 16 (we aren't going to have or anything until a couple of years anyway) they said that he can date me again when I'm 15 (My birthday is in 9 months) and we're going to wait for each other. So I'm not technically in a relationship but I'm also not actually single and we're going to a party in a few days with only people I know and I don't know how to introduce him as. Any suggestions?
